Job Description

The function of this position is to:

  • Service, repair, and maintain furnaces, air conditioners, air distribution systems, boilers, water heaters, chillers, rooftop package units, energy management systems, temperature control systems, related piping and electrical. Be able to service and perform startup on equipment, and adjust to the manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Be able to troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues that arise that would keep the equipment from functioning properly.
  • Effectively communicate to the client the issues and thoroughly explain the repair options.
  • Perform required documentation for each call, recording recommendations, repairs, accurate readings, and observations. Have client sign electronic work orders.

Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks

  • 3-5 years commercial HVAC experience
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check
  • Must be willing to submit to a drug test
  • Must possess Environmental Protection Agency Certification to handle refrigerants
  • Must be customer service orientated.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of our products and services being offered. This may require additional study and training both on and off site.
  • Establish goals and objectives as they relate to the position, along with a plan of action to attain or exceed set goals.
  • Regularly review and monitor progress against goals, and seek assistance as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with associates, superiors, vendors, and customers.
  • Should be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Must be able to accurately list/order materials and supplies.
  • Must be able to work under time constraints and pressures.
  • Effectively manage his/her time and schedules.
  • Must be capable of understanding client needs, and make sure we work to resolve those needs.
  • Constantly be learning through training from suppliers, trade shows, seminars, independent study, and other employees.
  • Maintain clean, neat, and professional appearance at all times.
  • Work and drive safely, and be able to recognize and avoid dangerous situations.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Must participate in on-call after hours rotation.
  • Our typical schedule is 8 am to 5 pm, but must be flexible and willing to work other hours as needed.
  • Must be able to bend, lift, carry, crawl, stoop, sit, stand, drive, reach above, walk, push, pull and use hands frequently.
  • Ability to show up for work on time, every day, with a positive and can-do attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
